Aurora Research Institute is the research division of Aurora College and is responsible for licensing, conducting and coordinating research in accordance with the NWT Scientists Act. We also promote communication between researchers and the people of the land in which they work.

Apply today for ARI funding to support your northern research program!

Each year, the Aurora Research Institute awards funding in support of research in the NWT. 

Two sources of funds are available; the Research Assistant Program provides up to $2,500 towards wages for hiring northern residents as research assistants, and the Research Fellowship Program provides up to $6,000 to help offset the expenses associated with northern research.
