Programs

The Aurora Research Institute has had an active role in northern research since the 1960s, providing outstanding support for research programs across the NWT. Over 4000 scientific research teams have worked through the Western Arctic Research Centre since its inception. Our research programs encompass a range of subjects including physical and biological sciences, health sciences, energy production, and more. All of these research initiatives have been developed and implemented in partnerships with community and government agencies across the north - partnerships that demonstrate our mutual interest in, and commitment to sustainable and equitable northern development.

Here you will find information on a variety of our more recent research programs and partnerships. Feel free to contact our library for more information on these and other initiatives.
