The Aurora Research Institute/Aurora College administers funds that are annually awarded to researchers and NWT students. The purpose of these grants is to strengthen the NWT research environment by contributing financially to northerners’ education in the sciences, to the employment of northerners as research assistants, and to research projects that are beneficial to the NWT.
