The North Slave Research Centre (NSRC) is located at the Yellowknife/North Slave Campus of Aurora College in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. The NSRC serves the city of Yellowknife and surrounding communities north of Great Slave Lake, including Behchoko, Gameti, Wekweeti, and Whati.
We carry out contractual research and conduct research as requested by the community. The NSRC also supports researchers to connect with community organizations and government departments and assisting with the hiring of local research assistants.
The North Slave Research Centre is home to Aurora Research Institute’s Health Research Programs. The main projects that we are supporting in this region include:
